Stir Fry “Dinner”

This is what “dinner” means without explanation. One of my favorites.

Total time: 40 min, including chopping and farro cooking. Makes dinner for 2-3 people.

Materials: Stovepot; frying pan.


  • 16 oz tofu
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 1 bok choy or broccoli
  • ¼ cup water
  • Soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, rice vinegar to taste
  • Chopped scallions
  • Sesame seeds

  1. Put up a pot of rice or other side.
  2. Heat a frying pan with olive oil and sauté tofu, chopped bell peppers, and bok choy or broccoli for about 5 minutes. Add ¼ cup water and continue cooking about 10 minutes.
  3. Add soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, and a dash of rice vinegar to taste. Cook another 5 minutes.
  4. Mix in chopped scallions and garnish with sesame seeds.
