It’s pretty easy to make a good brownie using butter, sugar, and chocolate. Some of these push the definition of “brownie” and taste more like chocolate desserts, but they are still so good! If you’re going for a more traditional brownie, the Pea Brownies, Cashew Blondies, and Bean Mud Brownies especially are closer to that chewy, fudgey brownie texture. One note: brownies made with beans usually taste better the following day, so make a day ahead if you’re having guests!
P.S. I don’t know why I started making brownies with beans, but I am never going back! The beans add a lot of bulk, and thick brownies are oh-so-good. Don’t hate it ’til you try it.
